This talk will introduce and discuss the National Science Foundation and the Directorate for Mathematical and Physical Sciences.  In particular, it will focus on the Division of Astronomical Sciences.  Topics included will be what the NSF is, it’s organizational structure, budget and funding issues, programs funded, grants/proposal review process, and the future.
